The Big Bang Theory showrunner Steve Holland has shot down that big fan theory about Penny (Kaley Cuoco).
Last night's episode was all about parenthood as Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) welcomed their second child, leading fans to wonder if we were about to see another pregnancy storyline on the show.

As well as seeing the arrival of Howard and Bernadette's second child Neil Michael, the episode looked to be setting up future arrivals for either Penny and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) or Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons).
However, Holland doesn't believe there will be another baby on the show anytime soon. "It's too early to talk about what happens next season, but we've now done two seasons of pregnancy stories and, for me, that's probably enough," he told .

He added that it was "definitely a challenge" to make Howard and Bernadette's second pregnancy storyline feel different to the first, including coming up with a perfect name.
"In the first draft of the script there was another first name and we weren't that happy with it. It didn't feel quite right. But someone brought up Neil and it just seemed to check off all the boxes in a really fun way for us," Holland reflected.
Last month, he was teasing that we could expect to see , saying: "We haven't written the finale yet, but we've certainly been building to it all season."
The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS in the US and E4 in the UK.
